Families

Across the SW7 Benefice we have regular "all-age" services, and events, activities and meetings suitable for families across all age groups - please see below for details:-

GAP

On the 1st and 3rd Sundays of the month, at Long Compton church, 4 - 5pm we have an informal service called GAP which stands for God and People. We have modern styled worship, and a breakout group for primary aged children to get to know more about Jesus through drama, storytelling, discussion and crafts.

This service is suitable for all children and young people.

We have a carpeted toy area for younger aged children and a separate chill out room.

After the service we share tea, coffee and yummy food together like pizza and hotdogs.

CONNECT

Connect is a community group that meets on the second Sunday of the month at Long Compton village hall, 3 - 4pm. Connect is an opportunity for all to meet together and make new contacts or build existing relationships. Everyone is welcome to join us - young, old and everyone in between, church members and non-church members - for tea, coffee, cake, chat, fun and laughter along with a thought for the day and themed quizzes, games and crafts. Please contact our families and youth worker, Kim Petty, if you would like to find out more information (07949949215).

Giggle Tots

Giggle Tots is a free baby and toddler group, at Long Compton village hall Thursday mornings 10 - 11:30am, for all care givers with babies and children 0 - 4. Come along and join us for fun friendship.

We aim to have some children's activities in all of our 10:30 Church services across the Benefice.

We also have Annual celebratory services such as a Good Friday workshop, a festival of light party around the time of Halloween, and a Nativity Service - please look out for the notices of upcoming events on our Events page.

All are welcome at our services, meetings, events, and activities

We can’t wait to meet you!

POSADA

During Advent we have a Posada tradition, which is the nativity story in a gift box, hosted by a family for one night then passed on the next day to a new family. In the box is a story book and prayers along with hand knitted Dolls to help recreate the nativity story, it journeys around the Benefice in the lead up to Christmas Day.

Acorns Primary School Assemblies

Open the Book

We have very positive links with Acorns Primary School in Long Compton, and we host the school's Christmas, Easter and Harvest services. The school also welcome our team of trained presenters to share "Open the Book" (OtB) in assemblies. OtB is an exciting storytelling project of the Bible Society where Bible stories are shared with children in a way that is fun, interactive and memorable.
